Lyneham Commons apple foraging at Tulip Farm

Natasha Rudra

The Lyneham Commons is holding a fundraising community forage event next Saturday. The group would like people to gather and forage for apples at Tulip Farm near Sutton, collecting fruit and then getting together to make apple jelly to sell and raise funds.

It's on Saturday, February 14 – yes, Valentine's Day – at 9.30am. Meet at the entrance to Tulip Farm on the old Federal Highway road just past the turnoff to Sutton. There'll also be a jelly making and cooking session afterwards.

If you'd like to join the Lyneham Commons, find it on Facebook – facebook.com/lynehamcommons. Help is also needed in the form of clean, sterilisable jars with lids for the jelly, a fruit dryer and wax for the jelly.
