It's an invention in the loosest sense of the world but nonetheless, the world is going crazy for the newest chocolate mash-up.

United Kingdom man James Hannah brought together two classic favourites - Toblerone and Chocolate Orange - to create the Toblorange.

Really, it's just an excuse to eat two types of chocolate at the same time but sweet-toothed social media users aren't complaining.

Hannah took the individual wedges of Terry's Chocolate orange and placed them between the peaks of Toblerone to create 2016's first big food frenzy.

The latest chocolate craze has already caught on, with people posting their Toblorange photos along with admissions of regret.

Toblerone has even given the Toblorange its nod of approval.

"Better retire now, you've peaked," Toblerone tweeted.

Hannah was so excited to share his joyous invention with the world that he invited everyone to recreate the Toblorange free of charge.

"I am waiving my copyright fee for your own Toblorange. You may recreate it free of charge. It's morally the right thing to do," he said.

Hannah's post revealing the Toblorange has been shared more than a thousand times.
