Dandenong Market has joined the Markets of Melbourne group, which includes Prahran, Queen Victoria and South Melbourne markets. The group that started 2 1/2 years ago is focused on the promotion of market shopping.
''We see being part of the group as essential in terms of adding our voice to Melbourne's food shopping narrative,'' Julie Busch, Dandenong Market chairwoman, says. Market shopping should be sustained as a ''great community service forever'', she says.
