Masts to go in $30m renovation of Campbell's Stores at The Rocks

Look away ship spotters, the theme park-style ships' masts in front of the restaurants at Campbell's Stores in The Rocks look like they'll finally get the heave-ho.

The building's lessee, Tallawoladah Pty Ltd, is eyeing a two-year $30 million renovation of the building, starting next year.

"Yes, the masts will go, they were stuck up in the '80s," a spokesman for the project told Good Food.

There is potentially more than a major facelift on the way.

Expressions of interest have been issued for up to 16 spaces at the historic 1839 waterfront site.
