Melbourne Food and Wine Festival legends honoured

Six of Victoria's hard-working culinary movers and shakers were honoured on Monday at the annual Melbourne Food and Wine Legends ceremony, held at Crown Towers and announced by lord mayor Robert Doyle.

Publisher Anne O'Donovan, who founded The Age Good Food Guide in 1980 and Cheap Eats in 1986, was inducted for spreading the word and encouraging the appreciation of great food and wine.

Miranda Sharp, founder of Melbourne Farmers' Markets, joins the Legends of 2015, along with Pat Carmody, owner and lauded shiraz winemaker at Sunbury's Craiglee Vineyard; John and Steve Lau, from Supper Inn; and sourdough specialist John Downes.

Fleur Studd, co-founder of Market Lane Coffee, took out the Trailblazer Award.
