Fitzroy's B'Stilla Cantina has hopped from Moroccan spice to Spanish tapas. The 20-seat bar, now called Little Hop, originally opened in December last year as a younger sibling to B'Stilla in South Yarra, which itself is being retooled as Enquire Within, opening next week.

Chef Jason Jones says he and Little Hop co-owners Anita Basile and Hugo Tremayne have taken inspiration from Spanish and Portuguese tapas bars, where snacks are often included in the price of a drink. At Little Hop, Tremayne has designed a list of up to 40 bottled craft beers, with two brews on tap and a selection of wines and cocktails, including his creation the Sooky Lala: sumac-infused vodka, tomato juice and red wine.

Order a drink and Tremayne will choose the snack that he thinks is the best match; perhaps a blonde beer with a tomato and anchovy-topped crostini. Snacks will change depending on the morning's market shop and may include things like lamb ribs, chickpea fritters and peanut brittle. Little Hop is open Tuesday to Sunday from 5pm. 277 Brunswick Street, Fitzroy.
