There have been a lot of very good things cooked, eaten, shared and drunk during October. The Canberra Times Good Food Month has come to a close after nearly five weeks of dinners, degustations, cocktail parties and lunches.

It's only the second time Canberra has taken part in one of Australia's biggest and most iconic food festivals – Good Food Month. Celebrity guest Frank Camorra from MoVida in Melbourne came to the capital and cooked for a packed crowd at the Parlour Wine Room. The much decorated Ben Willis from Aubergine hosted a "hats off" dinner with Mike Bennie that featured esoteric and unusual drinks.

At the Poachers Pantry, guests lunched on the lawn. Mamoru Aizawa at Iori made magic with a sake degustation and Phillip A. Jones and John Leverink did gin at Pod Food. Jeff Piper at Thirst fed his diners fried crickets and fermented fish. And though it might be over for another year, there might still be more to come from Good Food Month.
