We haven't seen as much of Frank Camorra in Brisbane as we did in the days when he was consultant chef at Depot at the Emporium (now a Guzman & Gomez outlet). But the man who taught a whole lot of people to love salty fish with his signature dish of anchovies with smoked tomato sorbet, is heading north to close the week long James Street Food Trail in August.

Camorra will be holding cooking demonstrations at Standard Market Company as well as signing books at Scrumptious Reads. On August 10 he'll be taking over Sixes and Sevens bar and producing his own pop up mini-Movida for the evening.

Fingers crossed the anchovy dish will be on the menu.

The James Street Initiative say there'll be plenty of other food related fun, during the week (August 7-10) including a Craggy Range tasting tent and Pol Roger as the house champagne at the restaurants involved. Details: jamesst.com.au
