New Farm stayer Vine gets a revamp

There's certainly plenty of "new" around to whet the appetite, but plaudits must go to the stayers too – those places that keep on doing what they do well.

Vine in New Farm celebrates its 8th birthday in June and it seems that some New Farm locals eat there more often than they do in their own homes. We can only imagine their dismay on finding it closed recently. A mere week later, however, the family-owned favourite has re-opened, having had a freshen-up and a new menu.

The revamp includes a new private dining area at the back of the restaurant and a wine room. The bar area has been spruced up and there's some new furniture to complete the change, says co-owner Daniel Rottolone. They've also joined the share-plate revolution, offering set shared meals for tables of four or more. Choose either three courses including an antipasto platter, two types of pasta made in-house and veal scaloppine, or four courses comprising dessert.
