New owners are giving Swanston Street cocktail bar and function space The Order of Melbourne a shake-up. Stepping in are Stephen Filipovic, his sister Nicole and her partner Jesse Saunders, the trio behind the temporary People's Market in Collingwood, which will close on April 28 and move to Brisbane, then Sydney. Chef Michael Fox will join their city venture, which they plan to remodel significantly. Fox was awarded The Age Good Food Guide young chef of the year 2011 while working at city restaurant Cecconi's. He then became head chef of restaurateur Paul Mathis' city diner Henry and the Fox. Stephen Filipovic says the plan is to offer ''good food that's well priced in a space with a high turnover … based around an $8 price point''. Dishes will dip into a changing variety of cuisines, and there'll be live music to entice students from nearby RMIT. The yet-to-be-renamed venue is due to reopen in early May.
