New look for the Livingroom

Malvern's Livingroom restaurant has a new chef. Michael Harrison was most recently head chef at Davis Yu's Louie in South Yarra, which closed in July. He started at Livingroom two weeks ago.

Carolyn Liem, who owns the restaurant with her father, Alan Markham, says, "we are changing things a little, creating a more contemporary feel to the menu".

Harrison replaces Darren Daley, who leaves after four years to spend more time with his family, and to be head chef of a yet-to-open Chapel Street, Windsor cafe by Jason Chan, who owns Batch Espresso on Carlisle Street, Balaclava.
