Lobo Plantation's Eddie Levy and Michael Hwang will join the crush of operators opening new venues in the precinct around Martin Place. Levy confirmed they'll open a bar in early 2016 at a yet-to-be-disclosed address. The precinct is set to welcome an A-list of new talent, restaurateurs Maurice Terzini (Icebergs), Frank Camorra (Movida) just a couple of the incoming crowd.
Levy and Hwang have also ventured to Darlinghurst, where they teamed up with Julian Tobias and Adam Abrams and snapped up The Victoria Room, transforming it with a ski chalet vibe.
With the cold months departed, they've rebranded the venue Darlo Country Club. "It's our version of a social club, an LA country club," he says. So they've ditched the fondue for club sandwiches, steak frites and oysters and replaced the chairlift with pastel colours and linen walls. Darlo Country Club opens Wednesday.
