Hospo veteran Michael Rosebach (ex-Cookie) is set to transform a former Irish bar into Nieuw Amsterdam, a new American bar-slash-eatery. The two-storey, 1880s red-brick building was once the hardware factory that gave Hardware Street its name. Nick Stanton (ex-Woods of Windsor) will man the stoves in the eatery upstairs. Expect a mid to late December opening.
