Organisers of Brisbane's Night Noodle Markets will talk to a stallholder after a cockroach was reportedly found in a meal on Thursday night.

A spokesman for the popular outdoor markets said it was the first time such an incident had occurred.

"In all our years of running great food markets around the country, this is the first time one of our stallholders has had an issue like this," he said.

"We work with the best restaurants, serving great food in a fun environment. No one wants unannounced bugs in their food - and it's not something we want to happen at our markets.
