Leichhardt institution AC Butchery has been hit with three penalty notices, earning itself a place on the NSW Food Authority's Name and Shame list.

The offences included failure to maintain the food premises to the required standard of cleanliness after previous warnings, and another for "using misleading labelling on ready-to-eat meat products". Although only just revealed, the penalties were issued in July to the inner west foodie favourite, with two fines of $1320 and another for $1540.
