Love Tella Ball milkshakes but hate lining up for one at Foodcraft Espresso on the weekends? We have good news: Erskineville's doughnut kings are expanding to Dulwich Hill and opening a Nutella dessert bar in November.

"It's something we've always wanted to do," says Aki Daikos, who co-owns Foodcraft Espresso with Simon Kappatos. "People are going to be blown away by the creations."

Daikos says the dessert bar will cater to families, couples, singles, "everyone". Nutella fans can look forward to a full cabinet of items flavoured with the chocolate-hazelnut spread: cheesecake, brownies, banana bread, eclairs and mousse. Elsewhere on the menu will be Nutella pancakes, crepes, European-style waffles, creme brulee and sticky date pudding.

Foodcraft Espresso made international headlines when goodfood.com.au reported on its Tella Ball Shake in August. (For the uninitiated, a Tella Ball Shake is a Nutella-filled doughnut perched on top of a Nutella milkshake.)

The Foodcraft team is creating new Tella Ball doughnut flavours for the dessert bar such as cookies and cream, Belgian chocolate, cheesecake, peanut butter and lemon butter. There will also be new milkshakes featuring Kit Kats, Snickers and Mars Bars.

The dessert bar will be a warm, relaxed place with indoor and outdoor seating. Daikos is tight-lipped on its exact location in Dulwich Hill, but goodfood.com.au understands it will be somewhere on New Canterbury Road.

Daikos says he's seen similar Nutella dessert bars in Italy, but they weren't his inspiration.

"My inspiration is my sweet tooth," he says. "Honestly, yesterday I smashed two Nutella cruffins just for fun. It's getting ridiculous."
