O, Brother where art thou?

The evolution of what was Brunswick Street's Retro Cafe in Fitzroy continues. Bought by restaurateur Marcelo Tummino in early 2011, the space became Eat Drink Man Woman.

When that failed to take off, it closed and reopened as Brother Burger and the Marvellous Brew in 2012, with a small cafe, Dulcita, opening in the front of the building facing Brunswick Street.

Are you still with us? Dulcita is now no more - some of Tummino's more ''frustrated'' customers, looking for Brother Burger for dinner, saw only Dulcita, a daytime cafe, and assumed the restaurant was closed.

Now the entire ground floor has been turned over to Brother Burger and, in doing so, Tummino has an extra 30 seats. Brother Burger is still open daily for dinner and, from early February, Tummino plans to open daily for lunches as well.
