Openings and closings: Mitchell, Mathis and Calombaris

Rosa Mitchell's return to the city restaurant scene is official, after a two-night soft opening last week. Rosa's Kitchen at 22 Punch Lane, a 60-seater, will open Tuesdays to Saturdays from noon-11pm, with ''drinks and bar snacks'' from 3-6pm. Paul Mathis' quick turnaround, changing The Sharing House at South Wharf (which closed on February 10) to BangPop, a Thai street-food restaurant, has been impressive. Until March 21, BangPop will offer 25 per cent off the bill, and will open officially on March 22. Press Club as we know it will serve its last braised lamb on Sunday. Renovations to George Calombaris' eatery (above) will begin to transform it into a Greek street-food venue called Gazi, aiming to open by mid-May. Little Press will continue to operate until mid-May when it will close and reopen as the new, smaller, more intense version of Press Club by October.
