We've got more reasons to look forward to summer in Canberra with a brand new bar set to open from the three owners of Molly, the speakeasy-themed watering hole with no address.

The new nightspot will be throwing open its doors in the next couple of months, just in time for warmer weather.

Molly owners Antony Arena, Dean Brown and Lorenzo Focarile have designed the new bar to complement Molly which recently won best cocktail bar in Canberra at the ACT Australian Hotels Association Awards.

The three owners are keeping hush hush on the key details but we can reveal that the fitout is underway and the designs look fabulous.

As far as the name goes, for now, they've only revealed the letter "H".

Arena and Focarile travelled to the US to get inspiration for the venue, and were able to nut out the theme and bring back some innovative bar practices.

The new space, which isn't too far away from its sister in Civic, will feature a prominent 12-metre bar and we can say that it will have a unique entrance.

It is set to be the opposite to the underground Molly, with a space that will be able to capitalise on sunshine.

Unlike Molly, the new bar will have a dedicated function room and even with details being sparse it's already generating plenty of buzz – several businesses have already booked themselves in for Christmas functions, and you can make an enquiry at molly.net.au/h.

Stay tuned – we'll bring you all the details closer to the opening date.
