Newly appointed Wallabies coach Michael Cheika has dabbled in restaurants in the past, but it is his brother Paul who is jumping back into the food game.

After being involved in several high-profile restaurants including China Doll, Salon Blanc and Eastbank (where Michael was a partner), Paul has steered away from upmarket dining, opening Two Governors, located on the ground floor of the Governor Macquarie Tower in the city.

Cheika wants to focus on lobby cafes, with plans to open as many as 10.

"They are the new meeting place," he says. "SJB interiors created different zones here, a large communal table and smaller areas."

Cheika says his brother could make a post-rugby return to restaurant investment. "It wasn't that long ago he was thinking of doing a bar or restaurant in the Paddington area."
