With Andy Ruwald from Bondi's Bucket List taking the former Beach Road restaurant site at Palm Beach, there's plenty to look forward to on the northern peninsula this summer.

Locals have already had a taste of new, with chef Christien Darvall opening Palm Beach Trattoria in recent weeks. It proved to be quite a launch.

"My daughter [Daisy] was born on the first day, which was also Father's Day," Darvall says.

The chef, who worked in the London kitchens of Antonio Carluccio, has plans to open multiples of the Tratt concept.
