The historic Abbotsford Convent makes a holy setting for a perfect match of pork and pear. The convents resident caterers Bursaria are slapping up a special Sunday roast as part of the Roast Collection series, a month of winter feasts that finishes on Monday.

For $55, diners will feast on roast pork loin with all the trimmings, including fennel, roasted root vegetables, pickled pear and on-trend kale chips, accompanied by a glass of house wine. Or continue the pear theme with a crisp cider from the Yarra Valley's Napoleone and Co. The feast concludes with a pear and hazelnut frangipane tart.

A welcome glass of mulled pear cider is guaranteed to warm the cockles on a wintry Sunday afternoon.

1pm-3.30pm, Sunday, June 29, Bursaria, Abbotsford Convent, 1 St Heliers Street, Abbotsford, 9417 7771, bursaria.com.au
