Prahran to get Huxtaburger fix

Hilary McNevin

The Huxtaburger family continues to grow with confirmation a third outlet of the American-style burger business will open in Prahran later this year.

The first Huxtaburger opened on Smith Street in Collingwood in December 2011 and its success with burger lovers helped usher in a second branch in the CBD earlier this year.

The third instalment will have seating for up to 50 customers in total (including some outdoor) and will be in a ground floor space of the Trilogi apartment development that is being built at 201-209 High Street.

Co-owner Daniel Wilson said the Prahran restaurant would stick to the Huxtaburger winning formula of burgers and beer. “We will personalise the space to suit the area,” the chef said, but emphasised the menu would be the same as the Collingwood and city outlets.

Huxtaburger in Prahran is due to open mid-October.
