Producers recognised

The winners of the delicious. Produce Awards were revealed on Monday night in Sydney. Victoria and Tasmania featured strongly. Otway Forest supreme shiitake mushrooms and Mount Zero Olives biodynamic French-style green lentils won awards in the From the Earth category.

In the From the Paddock category, Piper Street Food Company's pork rillettes won the artisan section, while Flinders Island Meat's milk-fed lamb took out the primary category.

The Regional Award was won by Victoria's Beechworth and the Alpine Valleys, with one of the judges, chef and restaurateur Alla Wolf-Tasker, saying, ''It's nice to see this area rising to the occasion with some really stellar products.''
