Quinoa has reached the final frontier, with the arrival of Alter Eco dark quinoa chocolate. Toasted quinoa is folded through 60 per cent dark chocolate, giving it a light and crispy crunch - a modern twist on the childhood favourite of the crisped-rice Crunch bar. Alter Eco was founded in Australia by Netherlands-born Ilse Keijzer with Tristan Lecomte in France and Mathieu Senard and Edouard Rollet in the US. The organically grown quinoa is sourced from Bolivia and the cocoa beans come from Ecuador. There are no artificial flavours or emulsifiers, it's vegan-friendly and soy-, gluten- and guilt-free.
