Gee whiz. What a week for ice-cream related excitement. First there was Golden Gaytime tub-gate, then the internet lost its mind over a Nutella doughnut milkshake.

Now there's news that mad dessert professors Gelato Messina and Andrew Bowden (aka Andy Bowdy) are collaborating for cone-pulling good times.

From 5pm on Thursday, August 6 at Messina's Darlinghurst Dessert Bar, Messina and the former Hartsyard pastry chef are presenting "limited edition seductive soft-serve sundaes".

Bowden will be sprucing up Messina's Nutella and cinnamon doughnut soft-serve flavours to make four new sundaes priced at $10. The creations are:

Cinnie Bunstein: Warm cinnamon scroll, cinnamon doughnut soft-serve, peanut praline, crushed toasted peanuts, brown sugar caramel and baked cheesecake.

Yoko Kono cone: Nutella soft-serve with yuzu-soaked coconut cake, yuzu curd, white chocolate and Nutella ganache and toasted coconut.

Rocher Fererrer cone: Nutella soft-serve with milk chocolate feuilletine shards, milk chocolate dip, hazelnut and Nutella ganache and edible gold leaf.
