Stars unite for 500 ingredient dessert

Neil Perry describes a dessert Heston Blumenthal will cook here this month as so complicated that two pastry chefs are coming to Australia for seven days to prepare it.

''There are 500 ingredients,'' Perry says.

Blumenthal, Thomas Keller and Grant Achatz are some of the names Perry has cajoled to cook at the September 28 dinner to raise funds for The Starlight Children's Foundation, with 17 Michelin stars and seven of the world's top 50 restaurants represented.

The previously sold-out event has had one table cancel, which could be yours. The dinner is $1000 a head.
