Rehab in Teneriffe (previously Grasshopper Asian Kitchen), which closed at the end of April, is to be reborn as a "high-end" steakhouse.
Owner Noel McVeigh says diners shouldn't expect cheap and cheerful at Porterhouse, with a range of high-quality steak matched with good wines in the offing.
A menu hasn't yet been set, but McVeigh says the best meat will be sourced from all over and once a month they will feature wine and food and beer and food matching evenings.
The venue, which will include a small bar that McVeigh says will stock interesting spirits as well as taps for eight beers, will seat about 60.
McVeigh reckons quality-meat lovers should expect to be able to tuck into a rib eye on the bone and a glass of Shiraz by mid-September.
