To coincide with the release of the fully revised The Cook's Companion (Penguin, $130 rrp), Stephanie Alexander will take to the Growers' Market Stage this Saturday to demonstrate a selection of the 70 new and fail-safe recipes prepared using fresh produce from the Growers' Market.

Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Editor Ardyn Bernoth will join Alexander on stage, and says she is delighted to be hosting such an important contributor at the Growers' Market.

"It is difficult to imagine Australian cuisine without Stephanie Alexander. The Cook's Companion started a kitchen revolution when it was first released in 1996 and nearly two decades later remains a mainstay of Australian home cooking," Bernoth says.
