As one of the most ethnically diverse places in Australia, Liverpool has always been full of awesome food choices.

This will be showcased at the Liverpool Night Markets, held from 4-9pm on the first Sunday of each month in Macquarie Street in Liverpool.

Ramadan is currently in full swing so expect lots of halal street food on Sunday, July 5. In addition to the ubiquitous Turkish gozleme, Mama's Jerk Chicken will be grilling Jamaican-spiced chook and Parrilla Argenchino is barbecuing halal meat Argentinian-style on the flames.

There's also halal Thai street food courtesy of World Cafe Thai Kitchen. World Cafe Kitchen is part of the Fairfield-based STARTTS Worldcare Social Enterprise, which places refugees and new migrants in employment.

Other food stalls will be serving non-halal dumplings, Greek snacks, and woodfired pizza. "I encourage everyone to come down on Sunday, July 5 and sample some delicious food, be entertained, and enjoy our wonderful city at night," says Liverpool City Mayor Ned Mannoun. Here, here.
