Yes, there are, in fact, more truffle events taking place. This one is a truffle day on Saturday, July 18, at Braidwood.

Truffle farmers Peter and Kate Marshall of Terra Preta and chef Christian Hauberg are involved and it's a fundraiser for the Braidwood Hospital to boot. The day runs from 11am-3pm and begins with brunch of chestnut soup with Pepe Saya truffled creme fraiche and truffle scrambled eggs on Dojo bread.

Lunch involves truffle beef rossini, again with bread from the much praised local Dojo bakery, and if you want something sweet pick up a Portuguese tart with truffles. There'll also be a display of French cars, and a lecture on truffles, bilbies and bettongs. It's at Braidwood Central School.
