The home of the Kung Flu Fighter is taking its magical tea remedies to Barangaroo this winter. The Rabbit Hole Organic Tea Bar, which opened in Redfern last year, is slated for a June launch at the waterside development.

"We're going into the space where Noma currently does its dishwashing, facing the laneway behind," says co-owner Corinne Smith.

Rabbit Hole has made a mark by pushing the leaf, using steampunk-style machines to brew tea and elbowing coffee. "We'll refine the Alice in Wonderland theme at Barangaroo. But it'll have its own identity, and be much more focused on takeaway," Smith says.

The food menu will turn out many of the originals from Redfern, with tea-infused meat, sandwiches and salads, and the store's signature lavender shortbread.
