Top design award for dearly departed The Woods

Sydney dining is moving at such warp speed the rest of the world can't keep up. The 2015 Asia Hotel Design Awards has ladled out one of its premier gongs to Dreamtime Australia for its interior of The Woods restaurant.

The Woods, as Sydney diners know, is past tense, Mark Best's Pei Modern now operating in the space, albeit with the bones of the original design.

Some of the best Sydney design can now be found in shipping containers, and one of the best, Knafeh which is currently touring Sydney, moving location every fortnight.
