Chefs Patrick Killalea and Scotty Findlay spent years touring as personal chefs on tour with music acts including Madonna, Kiss, Kanye West and Pink Floyd. So surely they'll be well equipped to handle prickly customers when they open the doors at Two & Twelve next Saturday in Bondi? "You get all types. Madonna was macrobiotic and the Kiss guys didn't drink," Killalea says. But if you want to eat like a rock star, the chef says the roasted and smoked pork belly dish Roger Waters from Pink Floyd loved, and Tom Jones' favourite beef short ribs, should make the menu.

Two & Twelve will slide into the shopfront space at 141 Curlewis Street. And the duo have good Bondi form, having starred in the kitchen at Panama House on Bondi Road. Two & Twelve gets its name from the New York City area code. The restaurant will serve NYC-inspired deli food and "Dixie-style" smokehouse cuisine.
