Stage two of Vaporetto Bar & Eatery, in Hawthorn's Lido Cinema complex, is complete.

Partners Stephanie Edgerton, David Wickwar, Kim Coronica and Greg Feck have revealed their new 70-seat dining room, featuring a mezzanine level overlooking an open kitchen that can be converted to a semi-private function space.

With the new dining room comes an expanded a la carte menu that's available in the bar area too. Feck is plating up substantial pastas, risottos and steaks; Wickwar has added another 50 or so bottles to the wine list.

Thanks to the extra capacity they're doing lunches on the weekends (the matinee sitting, if you will) and the bar snack menu still runs beyond the last film screening – sneak in a late night prosecco and toastie before calling it a night.

Open Mon-Thu 5pm-10pm; Fri-Sat noon-midnight; Sun noon-10pm.
