Hunters Hill is again in the sights of Naples-born chef Luigi Esposito, who will add to his growing stable of restaurants in the New Year with a new venue in the exclusive suburb.

Owner of Via Napoli, the pizzeria with more awards than it has toppings, Esposito knows that even in Naples they don't live on pizza alone.

"It"ll focus on a rotisserie. We'll cook rabbit, quail and suckling pig the way we do in Naples," he says.

Il Girarrosto by Luigi Esposito will open in February 2015.

The first Via Napoli, in Lane Cove, raced up the charts of Sydney pizzeria; the opening of a second, six months ago, in Hunters Hill, gave the chef the confidence to expand further, given the queues outside the door every night.

Il Girarrosto by Luigi Esposito, which will open next door to Via Napoli in Hunters Hill, will include a wine bar.

"Customers will be able to pop in there for a drink while they wait for a table. They can stay and eat there if they like the menu," the chef says.
