Southgate restaurant Tutto Bene is opening a second Southgate restaurant, Artusi, on the site of the much-loved Walter's Wine Bar, which closed in June 2013 after 21 years.

Tutto Bene's Tamara Volkoff and Luis Pampliega are renovating the space under the eye of designer Chris Connell, known for his work at venues such as Caffe e Cucina and Pizza e Birra.

It's named for Pellegrino Artusi, who wrote Italy's influential 1891 cookbook La Scienza in Cucina e l'Arte di Mangiare Bene (The Science of Cooking and the Art of Eating Well).

The menu will be ''a modern take on artisanal Italian food''. Tutto Bene chef Leandro Panza will become executive chef of the 150-seater, which will be open daily for lunch and dinner from late April.
