A nip of whisky is a surefire way to warm up this winter.

Slick south-east Asian eatery Saigon Sally in Windsor is hosting a whisky cocktail class on Sunday, July 6. Under the watchful gaze of the sultry Sally mural, you'll learn how to mix the spirit with sweet, sour and savoury flavours. Bartender Michael Forbes (ex Lui Bar and Der Raum) will oversee the class, and a Glenmorangie ambassador will pop in for a mini whisky masterclass session. Tickets ($60) include three cocktails and matched canapes.

ALSO TRY: Cafe Vue's regular Friday night cocktail evenings are also showcasing worldwide whisky - albeit whisky-with-an-e - this month. Five courses are served with complementary cocktails featuring globetrotting whiskeys from Japan, America, Ireland and Australia.
