Where to get a coffee on Christmas morning in Melbourne

Coffee-loving Melburnians will be able to wake up properly on Christmas morning with a little assistance from several cafes.

In Abbotsford, punters will be able to put use their caffeine addiction toward a good cause. Admiral Cheng Ho, at 325 Johnston Street will be serving charity coffee between 7am and 10am, with money raised going Berry Street.

Across the city, cafe owners are helping to spread the Christmas cheer.

Hobba Eatery and Bar owner Colin Katheklakis is opening at customers' request between 7am and 11am.

Jaz Tye, the owner of Huff Bagelry in Carnegie, will open between 7am and 11am, what he describes as a community service.

"There are a lot of families in the area who are up at 5am for Santa."

In Richmond, the Old Barber Shop will be open between from 7am until 3pm.

St Ali in South Melbourne will be continuing its tradition of opening on Christmas day between 7am and 6pm.

But for something a little stronger, city bar Ponyfish Island will be open between 11am Christmas Day and 1am.
