Wild about East Timorese coffee

When Australian peacekeepers were sent into the East Timorese mountain regions of Maubisse and Aileu in 2012, they were offered roasted coffee from plants introduced by the Portuguese around 500 years ago. Four of the now-former peacekeepers decided to help the coffee farmers improve their growing practices and find markets for their product. Last week their Pozible crowd-sourcing campaign to fund a Melbourne cafe and retail space for Wild Timor Coffee met its $35,000 target. Former peacekeeper Tom Mahon says it's been a whirlwind - and the hard work is just beginning.
