Woolworths has recalled sliced black olives after a customer discovered glass inside a jar.

The recall applies to 430g jars of Homebrand sliced black olives with the best before date July 4, 2016, sold in Woolworths stores in New South Wales and Western Australia.

Customers who have purchased this product are being asked to return it to a Woolworths store, where they will receive a full refund.

Anyone concerned about their health due to this incident are encouraged to seek medical advice.

Woolworths and its supplier are investigating the matter.
