He's the writer, chef, TV personality and deli/restaurant owner whose name has become a cooking style. And he's heading to Australia for this year's Good Food Month presented by Citi.
With his flavourful, colourful twists on Middle Eastern and Mediterranean food, Yotam Ottolenghi has converted millions world-wide since Ottolenghi: The Cookbook (written with fellow Jerusalem native Sami Tamimi) was first published in 2008.
Their white-on-white Ottolenghi deli/cafes and Nopi restaurant are part of the fabric of London dining and Ottolenghi's foray into television has simply cemented his appeal internationally. (His second Mediterranean Feasts airs on SBS from June 19).
He will front a series of breakfasts, lunches and dinners in both Sydney and Melbourne, from October 28 to November 2, and launch his latest collection of vegetable-based recipes, Plenty More (Random House/Ebury Press).
More details are at goodfoodmonth.com. Expect more "star chef" announcements shortly.
