Melbourne's 'hot & new' restaurants 2015

Hot stuff: Chilli ribs at Kong.
Hot stuff: Chilli ribs at Kong.

Every year The Age Good Food Guide 2015 editors and reviewers nominate the 10 hottest new restaurants to open in Melbourne in the year since the last guide was published.

This year, the list skews towards two of Melbourne's hottest eating areas ... the CBD, and Smith Street. Six of our hottest new restaurants are Asian influenced, two of our list are Spanish in their inspiration. They tick off some of Melbourne's hottest dining trends too, from Josper ovens and Binchotan charcoal grills, to kimchi and open kitchens.

The Age Good Food Guide 2015 awards are held on Monday, August 25. Follow @goodfoodAU and @goodfoodguide on Twitter for the results. #goodfoodguide

The Age Good Food Guide 2015 will be available for $10 with The Saturday Age on August 30 from participating newsagents. It can also be purchased in selected bookshops and online at theageshop.com.au for $24.99.
