Good Food Month presented by Citi, is coming back to Brisbane this July. The festival program will include the popular Night Noodle Markets.

Around 150 venues in Brisbane and regional Queensland participated in last year's inaugural festival.

Event registrations opened this week to restaurants, cafes, bars, pubs, food tour operators, cooking schools and food community groups.

"The industry really got on board in 2014," festival creative director, Natascha Mirosch said. "Diners were the winners, with exciting events on all throughout the month, including, of course, the hugely popular Night Noodle Markets, which will be back even bigger and brighter this year."

According to chef Philip Johnson, owner of E'cco Bistro in the Brisbane CBD, Good Food Month offered an "egalitarian opportunity for people to experience the state's thriving food culture".

"Good Food Month gives venues the chance to attract new diners by showing off what they have to offer to people who might not normally go to those restaurants," Johnson said.

Good Food Month will kick off on July 9 and run until August 10. Registrations are now open at a special early bird rate until April 18. Final event registrations close on May 9.

The program will be available in the Sun Herald on Sunday, June 7, and online at brisbane.goodfoodmonth.com

Good Food Month is a Fairfax Media event.
