1. Night Noodle Markets at Birrarung Marr, weekends from 4pm
If you haven't made it down to see this extraordinary array of Asian street food, lights and lanterns, themed bars and entertainment, make a date for this weekend. With heaps of seating on the atmospheric Middle Terrace (think Wonderbao, Hammer & Tong, New Shanghai), it's a wonderful way to feast with friends and family. #noodlemarkets

2. Lentil As Anything, Abbotsford, tonight from 6pm

Eat for a good cause as multicultural chefs, asylum-seekers and volunteers present a vegetarian banquet, with chickpeas and lentils sourced directly from farmers in the Wimerra region of Victoria. A sustainable, no-waste event raising funds for asylum-seeker training and employment. Cost: by donation.

3. A Heide Summer BBQ, Bulleen, tonight from 7pm
An outdoor barbie with an after-hours guided tour of work by Melbourne-born/Parisian-dwelling Moya Dyring. Ice cold beers and magnums of wine, with music by French gypsy swing virtuosos La Mauvaise Réputation. $140 includes wine

4. Karen's Sunday Feast at mr wolf, St Kilda
A seasonal feast, beginning with pizza primavera, followed by braised lamb shoulder with horta, and panna cotta for dessert. Sunday November 23, $49

5. A spice tour across Morocco at B'stilla, South Yarra
Imagine nine courses of spice-focused dishes inspired from the best dishes of 2014. Monday November 24, $120

6. A Late Spring Vegetable Romp at St Ali, South Melbourne
A showcase for favourite St Ali regional producers, including Zeally Bay biodynamic bread, Alcheringa Farm cream, Gourmet Greenhouse vegetables and Grampians Pure Sheep Milk Dairy. The meal consists of three courses and an amuse bouche, all sourced locally, to the theme of late-spring vegetables with ewe's milk. Thursday November 27, $75 includes drinks
