The time-poor who still like to get in the kitchen have another option for quick dinners, as meal kit delivery service Marley Spoon launches in Canberra.

Its meal packs include fresh, pre-portioned ingredients and recipe cards, with each dish requiring only six steps and said to take 30 minutes or less to prepare.

Recipes are changed weekly and you can choose which ones you get.

Each meal kit comes with fresh ingredients and recipe cards.

Marley Spoon already operates in the United States, Britain, Germany and The Netherlands.

To launch the range in Australia, the company brought on board culinary director Olivia Andrews, who has worked behind the scenes on MasterChef Australia, Recipe to Riches, Destination Flavour, and Ready Steady Cook, and in the kitchen at Gordon Ramsay's The Savoy Grill.

The menus also feature guest chefs, and there are plans to include some locals to the Canberra rotation.

Meals are priced based on how much you order, but three meals for two people is $69.90.
