NEW MENU

Consider yourself an expert taste-tester? Visit Sage Dining Rooms, at Gorman House, during April, and you could help shape the new-season menu. For the next couple of weeks, Sage is offering a surprise five-course dinner for $75, and then giving you the opportunity to vote for your favourite dishes. The dinners are designed to show off the work from new head chef Nicolai Lipscomb, who recently joined the restaurant from San Francisco. He’s got a great Spanish pedigree after spending time at El Cellar de Can Roca, just outside Barcelona, Bilbao’s Arzak and Ferran Adria’s Alicia Foundation. Joining him is pastry chef Francis Ang.

EGG WARMERS

Easter? Really? You’d never guess it from the hordes of chocolate bunnies swarming the supermarket and the hot-cross-bun invasion at every bakery. But these little creatures are lovely. They’re a pair of fluffy bunnies who will sit on an egg cup to keep your boiled eggs warm. It’s not clear exactly how you’ll keep the bunnies from getting egg all over themselves but hey, if it helps your little one get through a whole breakfast of eggs and soldiers. A sweet way to bring a little Easter into the house without overloading on sugar. They’re from Lark Store. $18.95 for a set of two. See larkstore.com.au
