At the Salisbury Road site once home to Pigeon Ground Records and Clothing, Little Lord Cafe in Camperdown will take you back in time with its 1960's-style furniture and food.
"We wanted to open something that was a bit different," says former Two Chaps barista Graeme Alexander, who owns Little Lord with his wife, Jax."We've had a lot of people come in telling us that it reminds them of their nan's living room. That's what we're after."
The pair have personally sourced all of the furniture to get exactly that 60's vibe and the retro theme continues to the menu.
"We want to stay away from the regular bacon and eggs," says Alexander. There are handmade sweets, including German apple crumble and pineapple upside-down cake, and a small and simple all-day menu will be available at the end of January. Punters can expect the like of Scotch eggs and a gammon, egg and charred pineapple relish toastie.
The button-cute cafe sources a range of different coffee blends from Sample in nearby St Peters and also serves cold brew for those sizzling summer days.
