Ellery & Co

Contemporary$$

This small, sleekly furnished space is conducive to a quick bite, a long Breakfast (scrambled eggs with truffle oil) or lunch. What a napoli gnocchi may lack in presentation, it makes up for in execution: well-cooked and the sauce full-bodied with tomato and basil. If presentation is your thing, the pie may disappoint, but inside, a slightly cheesy bechamel nicely blankets chicken, mushrooms and pinenuts. Sweets are home-made biscuits and slices. Dinner gets more interesting, with pistachio and parmesan crumbed veal scaloppine, and chocolate and rhubarb pudding.
