Orange

Orange sits smack between Prahran and Windsor and takes in a dash of flavour from each. The prices, smooth service, bentwood chairs and enlarged black-and-white photos? Prahran. The big windows with stained glass trim, chummily crowded street seating and window display of books, old bottles and vintage record player? Windsor. Even the fitout favours the duality, with a wall down the middle to separate bar from restaurant. So make your choice: will it be a bottle of 1990 Bollinger Grand Annee and an Oettinger beer from Germany, perhaps with a little roast quail on the side? Or will it be a Coopers Pale?
